HIMALAYAL - SHANGHAI - CHINA

The Shanghai Disney Resort was officially open to the public on 16th June, 2016. The Resort, the first one in China mainland, the third in the Asia and the sixth in the world, has received much attention since trial operation at the end of April. No matter what it is, shocking firework show“Night Phantom”or recreation facilities such as “Over the horizon”, they all need the support of electricity and the efforts of electrical personnel. While you are focusing on the magnificent resort, let me show you how the electrical personnel provide high-quality, reliable and economic power-supply services for the Shanghai Disney Resort and how they help the resort shine brightly.

The 110kV substation constructed by Pu-dong Power company in Shanghai Disney Resort is the first one to adopt the micro-network technologies. The micro-network system of the substation combines several modules, including photovoltaic power generation, energy storage, rectification and inversion and charging stations.

It is the first successful attempt to use new resources to supply the electricity. The micro-network provides a steady stream of clean electricity for the substation by means of photovoltaic panels arranged in orderly rows on the roof and energy storage systems inside the photovoltaic room.

The Pudong Power Company takes initiative to offer the service to ensure stable power supply. A thorough inspection of theme park user stations was carried out in early May, from conducting switch tests for end equipment and infrared temperature measurement for main transformer to monitoring the partial discharge of a whole set of GIS equipment. All aims to offer value-added services for users.
