The State Grid ±500kV Yongren-Funing IX Section Transmission Line Project is Entering the Final Stage

The ±500kV Yongren-Funing IX section DC transmission line project undertook by the State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Company has finished foundation construction, tower erection and earthing and the first section of stringing on October 10th, entering the final construction stage.

This project was given a short period for construction and consists a heavy workload. Currently the IX section of the project has finished first section of ground wire layout with 9.771km in length, the project department will continue to reinforce management and ensure completion of all the stringing work and third-grade self-inspection and trouble shooting by December 30th.

The Yongren-Funing project is the first ±500kV AC transmission line project connecting Yunnan and Liaoning Province, the plan is to complete construction of the whole project and put into operation by the end of this year. This project helps to further improve major power grid structure in Yunnan province, efficiently relieve power the pressure of major grid transmission, improving stability and reliability of major grid power supply, meanwhile undertaking the task of transmitting power from west to east in China and to Vietnam and Lao.
