The Project of Generator and Transformer Energy Efficiency Metrology Detection Method Undertaken by China Electric Power Research Institute was Accepted

The project - analysis of generator and transformer energy efficiency metrology detection method undertaken by China Electric Power Research Institute was accepted on 15th April, which lays a solid foundation for establishing corresponding metrology detection lab and provides technical support for evaluating the energy efficiency metrology of domestic energy-consuming products.  

As resources are increasingly less, improvement of energy efficiency has become an important measure to develop the economy. The energy efficiency metrology detection is not only the precondition and technical foundation for energy saving, but also offers evaluation method for efficiency increasing. Before carrying out the project, the company is lack of energy efficiency metrology work, which has turn into technical bottleneck for economic and social development and high-efficiency and energy saving power grid.

Generator
The project staff conduct the research into key technologies of generator and power transformer energy efficiency metrology. Two methods are put forward: high-voltage generator energy efficiency metrology detection based on the principle of load extrapolation and power transformer energy efficiency metrology detection based on the principle of difference value between voltage and current. Based on that, a high-precision broad-band detection platform was developed. The platform can measure the voltage and current correctly and meet the requirements of available generator and power transformer energy efficiency metrology detection tests. Moreover, it can be applied in the whole test of high-voltage three-phase generator and transformer energy efficiency metrology.       

The achievements will provide technical standards and advanced third-party detection platform for energy efficiency metrology detection of energy-consuming electric equipment such as high-voltage generator and power transformer. That will create more economic and social benefits and consolidate the company’s leading position in the field.
